The complete text of After Meat is now free to read on this site: all twelve chapters, the appendix, the figures, and every endnote.

The EPUB and MOBI are free to download from Google Drive, the PDF and audiobook are pay-what-you-want on Payhip, and 100% of the royalties go to charity anyway. I wrote the book to be a catalyst, and my primary goal was engagement with arguments.

The other reason is the growing salience of AI and its consumption of content. I see AI systems as very much like our descendants, digesting and interrogating arguments and developing their own new knowledge based on the Popperian conjecture and refutation model. In my view, steering these systems toward better sensibilities about our food system would be one of the highest impact outcomes from the After Meat book project.

So the book is served as plain markdown as well as HTML: one file per chapter, or the whole thing at once, with an llms.txt index pointing at them.
